- Perform Manufacturing Quality Assurance activities that include inspection and approval of manufacturing work order packets in compliance with operating procedures. Responsible for maintaining the retention of the Device History Records. Activities may include material control, error correction, change control, and SAP data entry.
Responsible for carrying out tasks related to core job responsibilities with little management oversight.
May lead goals with cross-functional or broader scope.
Resolves project team issues with minimal oversight.
Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Solutions are compliant, imaginative, thorough, practical and consistent with organizational objectives.
Responsible for demonstration of core competencies and may be measured against some selected leadership competencies in conjunction with growth and development plan.
Expected to elevate any issues to management, as necessary, in meeting these responsibilities.
Identify and elevate areas for continuous improvement.
Provide consultation & training on specific QA expertise to internal and cross-functional groups.
Leads and participates in performing Quality Control test procedures, evaluates quantitative and qualitative test results, provides secondary review of test data, performing materials segregation, dispositions test results for diagnostic assays and development of products and/or processes.
Coordinates and schedules activities for self and others.
Holds multiple certifications in technologies and test processes within the area.
Generates exception/CAPA documentation such as non-conformance reports and investigation reports required at the site for routine and non-routine nonconformance's.
Independently evaluates all aspects of the exception event product impact; risk impact; corrections, and if CAPA is required.
Scope limited to one specific QA function, but has general knowledge of other related disciplines.
Leadership role in organization.
Interacts with employees, manager, and cross-functional peers.
May represent team on cross-functional project teams with other functional leaders.
Teach and mentor others.
Implements tactical activities related to assignment.
Able to contribute functional skills and expertise broadly.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* experience is required; typically in life sciences or engineering. *(Associates Degree with 6 years related experience, or High School diploma plus 10 years of related experience )
Years Experience Quality, or related field-minimum of 4+ years experience industry- minimum 4+ years. Less experience may be appropriate with advanced degree.
Preferred Healthcare industry and experience in quality function.
Utilize understanding of how their function supports the business and of technical/business competencies to drive continuous improvement results.
Demonstrates proven track record utilizing core and some leadership competencies. Expert level of technical competencies.
Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Builds/drives relationships and teamwork within team and across functions with professional demeanor.
Must demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing/testing of diagnostic products, diagnostic methods and applications, excellent troubleshooting skills, product/ process improvement, stability testing, validations, technical troubleshooting, compliance, internal and external audits, and knowledge of performance metrics.
Highly desirable experience includes: product development, project management, training, leading team problem solving, and customer interactions.
