As a Administrative Program Specialist at the GS-0301-11 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Develops policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards based on GSA, DoD, and organizational guidance for forms management and electronic publishing products/program (EPP)
  • Conducts surveys and research projects providing advisory services on a variety of administrative and editorial issues which impact on DoDEA
  • Reviews, revises, provide guidance, and edits all DoDEA correspondence and publications to make them more coherent and readable and to ensure that prescribed standards regarding style, format, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are met
  • Reviews correspondence and administrative measures and controls, and develops guidance and procedures which include correspondence manuals and instructional guides
  • Performs special projects which involve gathering data or information, coordinating joint efforts for integrated work efforts, etc.
  • Ensures that correspondence from the White House and Congressional offices is properly responded to in a timely manner
  • Provides adequate internal administrative supports, as needed, for the Office of the Chief of Staff

You must have one year Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-09level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private/military sector) giving the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. Experience must be reflected in your resume.

Specialized experience required for the position:

  • Developing policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards based on GSA, DoD and organizational guidance for forms management and electronic publishing products/program (EPP)
  • Conducting surveys and research projects providing advisory services on a variety of administrative and editorial issues
  • Reviewing correspondence and administrative measures and controls, and develops guidance and procedures which include correspondence manuals and instructional guides
