• The primary role will be supporting the Space System Cyber Center of Excellence Architecture Analytics and Intelligence organization providing cyber security consulting to the GPS Ground Control Segment (GCS) program.

• The successful Cyber Security Engineer will be assisting programs with secure architecture design and resiliency.

• The candidate may also perform Cyber Resiliency Evaluations (CRE's). This can include cyber table tops and penetration testing.

• The Cyber Security Engineer will be expected to develop thorough reports on findings with mitigation steps to fix difficult problems.

• The Cyber Security Engineer should have a history of working with Operating Systems like RHEL, Ubuntu, Solaris, Windows. Scripting with Python, BASH, or PowerShell. Security tools like HBSS, ACAS, & Splunk.

Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and common protocols such as SSH, HTTP/S, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and Syslog.

Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), Solaris, and Microsoft Windows.

Solid understanding of Configuration Management, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, & Vulnerability Management.

Basic Scripting and/or Development Languages, such as Python, Shell Scripting.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved Certification.

Must be well spoken & customer oriented.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with configuring & monitoring Splunk

- Experience with configuring & monitoring Network IDS Sensors

- Experience with configuring & monitoring Endpoint Protection tools

- Experience with configuring & monitoring ACAS (Tenable Security Center)

- Basic understanding of penetration testing & threat modeling

- Space Ground or Vehicle experience is a plus
