Supply Chain Planner needed to join a leading agricultural company for a 3 years contracted time period. Primary Purpose: ? Optimize the balance of inventory across the supply chain network in line with targeted customer service levels, safety stock or safety lead time levels, for the portfolio. ? The lead interface for planning for suppliers and manufacturing sites to resolve supply related issues such as product technology, new product cut in etc. ? Responsible for planning, issuing and tracking production work orders, required material and tooling to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality, and on time customer delivery. ? Use ERP/MRP system and other tools to plan, issue, track and close work orders to schedule production work orders to meet customer demands; ? Regularly and effectively communicate scheduling, planning needs, and expectations to the operations team. ? Regularly review customer demands to assure that material, tooling, and work orders are sufficient to meet those demands. ? Plan replenishment strategies across the distribution center network by maintaining the accuracy of plans to reflect feasible replenishment plans. ? Review out of stock situations or shortages of supply issues and recommend mitigating actions.
Key Experience and Attributes: ? Bachelor?s degree in a major related to the various required and/or desired skills and general job responsibilities or equivalent education and experience or 5 years of experience. ? Sound experience in Production Control or other operations experience in a manufacturing environment. ? Ability to work across business areas and interface at all levels of organization. ? Strong analytical, problem solving, and business communication skills. ? Self-starter who requires minimal supervision, works well with team members and customers, and has a results-based mindset. ? Broad range and advanced computer skills?Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. ? Demonstrable commitment to customer experience that enables the confidence in dealing with various personalities in varying situations. ? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ? Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities including long and short-term projects. ? SAP experience is preferred but not required.
