Pratt & Whitney Military Engines supports the fleets of P&W powered military aircraft, including the Joint Strike Fighter, F-22A Raptor, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon (cornerstones of the United States Airforce and other air forces around the world) and the C-17 Globemaster III (a military transport used by several countries for disaster relief and humanitarian missions).

The Military Engines Centers of Excellence is helping to transform this business using databases, workflows, analytics, and dashboards to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Military Engines organization. We are searching for a Senior Manager to support the Earned Value organization within the Centers of Excellence.

This role will be responsible for: Earned Vale/Project Management systems from conceptual design, to development, testing, deployment, training and operational support; leading a team of specialists who provide centralized business and application expertise on specific EV systems and processes.

The individual will serve as the bridge between Digital Technologies (DT) and the business serving as a consultant on complex business issues and/or systems implementations; serve as the SME (subject matter expert) on EV tools and/or processes, functioning as the primary point-of-contact and the business systems administrator for those tool; liaise with EV Analysts, Finance, Programs, vendors, and DT, as appropriate, when troubleshooting, developing, and/or enhancing processes or systems; facilitate requirements collection and definition, design, test planning, testing, and deployment of new applications/upgrades/enhancements; work closely with DT on functionality, updates, deployments, and troubleshooting related to EV systems; lead and/or participate in process improvement projects which investigate turn backs/escapes and improve system performance; create and/or update associated training material and deliver to users; create and/or update EV standard work and procedures; oversee the SAP security design for EV transactions; manage and update of the EV COE web site; coordinate/assist with internal and external audits and process reviews; manage the departmental overhead budget.

Qualification: Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years relevant experience in an environment supporting customers.

  • 3+ years working with Program Management toolsets (SAP, Primavera, Dassian, eCSVAR, wInsight).

  • 2+ years of team leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience and interest in business controls and processes, with experience in business process mapping.

  • Ability to understand the complexities of business systems and processes and take the initiative to solve complex problems with minimal direction.

  • Team-oriented with excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Assertive and results-oriented with excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • Dedication to providing quality customer service with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability, and integrity.

  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and implementing new tools.

Education: BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
