GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Darden National Account Executive acts as a liaison between national account customers, management, and the various departments within the distribution center. This role communicates account requests for product, promotions and delivery requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs account contract administration with regards to Darden's new products, promotions, menu changes and item changes.
  • Coordination of Darden requested promotional auto shipments with Customer Service team.
  • Slow Moving and Obsolete report for assigned distribution center presented to Director of Darden National Accounts monthly which encompasses items that have thirty days without movement or are no longer active.
  • Reviews SIAR report daily with buyer for action of items of concern and communicates with Darden on any areas of concern.
  • Out of Stock Log for assigned distribution center presented to Director of Darden National Accounts daily which encompasses specific item detail, individuals contacted, reason codes for outages and recovery action plan.
  • Coordination of recoveries for outages, shortages, and damages as well as Darden, external Distribution Center or Restaurant requests with Customer Service team.
  • Obtain Darden Corporate account information or submission of vendor billing if needed for recovery. Review submittal of overnight bills and backup that are emailed and sent to Accounts Payable for all shipments.
  • Working with Customer Service team on Special Recovery and Request Log documentation detailing out any shipments that are sent out of assigned distribution center and share documentation with General Manager and Management team and Director of Darden National Accounts.
  • Work with buyers on drop shipments proof of delivery and backup if sent from assigned distribution center.
  • Coordination of new restaurant openings, which includes setting up new customer account with Accounts Receivable, working with Transportation Manager on schedule and communicate to Darden and restaurant.
  • Maintenance and input of new and current restaurants delivery schedules into Darden's Restaurant Information Database (RID). This includes order day, revision day, transmittal day electronically from Darden to Maines, delivery day(s) and time(s).
  • Manage communication on reroutes, route adjustments and holiday schedules to Darden, the Directors and or SVPs and the Restaurants Management which include communication and updating a Darden formatted routing template.
  • Responds to Darden's needs related to vendor sampling, total quality product sampling, requested inventory transfers, vendor returns, donations and disposals.
  • Works with resolving any Accounts Receivable variances that appear on the Darden ERS and communicates and takes actions based off these resolutions.
  • Monthly newsletter communication to all Darden restaurants after approved by Director of Darden National Accounts and Darden.
  • Visits restaurants, attends regional meetings, and attends specialty restaurant group new opening deliveries if approved by General Manager.
  • Recognizes, analyzes, and resolves customer issues accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Organizes account files and records.
  • Monitors and guides Customer Service Representatives' work.
  • Monitors and analyzes service level reports and takes appropriate action.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

Must demonstrate a high level of customer attention. Contract administration expertise. Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and an eye for accuracy. Should possess good computer skills; MS Office Suite, SAP and AS400. Ability to motivate and develop employees. Needs to possess excellent speaking and writing skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in a sales support or account management role with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
