Overall Purpose: This overlay sales or specialist sales position manages, directs and supervises a team of overlay/specialists sellers who are responsible for selling complex technical products and services to customers in order to meet strategic business goals. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Directs and supervises a team of overlay/sales specialist sellers responsible for selling complex technical products/services/applications/solutions, generating sales and supporting the sales efforts of direct sellers by leveraging product, industry, and/or technology expertise. Manages and coordinates the sales and technical teams in support of the sale of products, services and solutions. Possesses broad knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills. Resolves issues and contributes to business units success. Directly manages the work efforts of individual contributors and influences hire/fire, performance appraisal and pay review decisions. Responsible for coaching and developing subordinates. Demonstrates extensive technical product knowledge in order to assist team with developing and presenting sales proposals and systems solutions delivered at the customers premise. Education: Typically requires a Bachelors degree. Experience: Typically requires eight to ten years of direct work experience and one year of leadership experience. Supervisory: Yes.
