Job Description

Purpose and Objective of Position:

This position plays a critical role within Swisher International, Inc. (SWI), with responsibility for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales related data in an on-going effort to increase overall sales productivity for Swisher International, Inc. The development and tracking of key performance indictors will be critical to enhance the understanding of the business and to improve decision-making. The Analyst will create standardized and custom reports, conduct quantitative product & sales analysis, provide support for internal, distributor, retailer and adult consumer programs.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Analyze, report and present sales trends and customer performance data inclusive of insights to tobacco/OTP category management. This includes the development of structural and ad hoc presentations, specifically pulled from WebFocus shipment and mPower Dashboard databases.

  • Develop extensive working knowledge of both client and web-based CRM systems.

  • Identify and monitor changing patterns and recommend response where appropriate.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and evaluate the effectiveness of new sales initiatives to determine the degree of success attained. Present findings and conclusions to management.

  • Organize ideas and communicate oral, email, and presentation messages appropriate to listeners and situations.

  • Collaborate with mPower system owners to ensure the flow of data and operations between or within department.

  • Travel to marketplace to keep abreast of changing market dynamics.

  • Determining both the informational needs and best source of data and analytical methodology to support multifaceted strategic initiatives and projects for the company.

  • Continually interpret, analyze and present insights and results through tailored presentations and develop effective plans to influence behavior and practices of management.

  • Act as liaison between management, sales and designated internal and external partners.

  • Recognize key impacts to business.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope.

Job Requirements

Academic Qualifications/Required Experience

  • BS or BA degree in Business or related field, with specialization in analytical or research discipline.

  • 3 to 5 years experience in a tobacco related field or consumer package goods environment.

  • Advanced understanding of core company businesses and the Field Sales Force‚Äôs concepts, practices, and procedures is strongly preferred.

  • A record of progressive responsibility and challenging work is needed along with one year of project of process management

  • Strong knowledge of mPower Dashboard, PowerPoint and Excel is necessary, knowledge of WebFocus, G360 and Tablieau is preferred but not required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to think creatively, and project professional competence and expertise along with demonstrating objectivity in the assessment of information.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

  • Proven strategic and conceptual skills.

  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying adult consumer audiences and devising traditional and digital marketing campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
