The Hazardous Waste Coordinator is a critical role that organizes all incoming loads of hazardous waste in alliance with quality specifications and permit regulations. The Hazardous Waste Coordinator will have the opportunity to supply our plant with alternative fuels in order to reduce operating costs.

This position will reside in Logansport, Indiana.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Complete and maintain daily and weekly truck load schedule

  • Schedule inbound & outbound rail shipments with the customer and railroad

  • Create invoices daily in QuickBooks software while ensuring accuracy

  • Clear paid invoices weekly, maintain customer aging. Send out past due reports monthly, for collection of all invoices out past 30/45 days

  • Break down manifests from each file according to manifest regulations

  • Answer general customer service calls

  • Complete audit form requests from customers annually/biennially

  • Complete IDEM/EPA reporting documents and submit in a timely manner

Who we are looking for:

  • Relevant and transferrable experience such as bookkeeping experience, alternative fuels experience, and/or college education.

  • A self-motivator who thrives under minimal supervision

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly mathematics skills in dealing with calculations, measurements, units of measure, etc.

  • A highly organized individual whom is efficient and has a detail oriented mindset and skillset, with strong leadership qualities.

  • A multi-tasker who can tackle multiple issues at the same time.

  • Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, SAP, as well as other PC based applications.
