Pfizer Marketing Director, Upper Resp in Madison, New Jersey
The Pfizer Consumer Healthcare Upper Respiratory franchise is a diverse group of brands that total $300+MM in sales. These brands include many well established brands (Robitussin, Dimetapp) as well as newer brands (Advil Respiratory products, Children's Advil) that are well positioned in the marketplace. These brands are led by two brand leads who run Adult Robitussin, and Advil Respiratory, and the Pediatric Platform. The Upper Respiratory franchise has been growing overall and is expected to continue that growth in 2018. We are seeking an experienced marketer to manage this portfolio of brands, develop the marketers leading these brands, and continue the franchise growth trajectory.
In this role, the colleague will be responsible for leading the Upper Respiratory strategic planning process inclusive of development of the long term strategic plan and the 3-yr operating plan as well as overseeing the development of the annual brand marketing plans and Go-To-Market Plans as developed by the individual brand leads. The colleague would also work closely with the UR brand leads and US innovation team to develop a pipeline of new products, as well as own the overall franchise P&L which includes accountability for financial planning and commitments and driving profitable growth of the US Upper Respiratory business.
The Upper Respiratory Director will manage a complex network of internal cross-functional colleagues and external partners including Global Health, Sales, and Agencies. The colleague will not only own the Upper Respiratory business but also be a critical member of the US Health leadership team and a member the US Extended Leadership Team (XLT).
Lead development of the Long Term Strategic Plan and 3-Yr Operating Plan for the Upper Respiratory franchise
Oversee the development of the Robitussin, Advil Respiratory, and Pediatric Platform Annual Brand Plan as developed by the brand leads
Own the Upper Respiratory P&L and associated resources to maximize short-term financial goals and the long-term health of the brand. Includes activities like annual budget planning, quarterly phasing, demand planning
Develop the long term strategic plan for the UR franchise
Oversee brand lead development of customer partnership in both the long and short term
Oversee brand lead development of brand communications
Oversee innovation launch planning for the franchise
Lead, develop, and assist two direct reports (brand leads) as well as their extended teams with ongoing career development.
Minimum of 8-10 years of business/marketing experience with a history or demonstrated business success; extensive knowledge of the CPG industry, as well as U.S. markets preferred
Demonstrated success as a successful brand marketer, cross functional leader and people developer
Demonstrated knowledge base of consumer, customer/retailer, product and competitor landscapes
P&L and Operating Budget experience within a matrix organization
Product and marketing communication campaign development experience required
Direct report management experience and cross functional leadership required
