Pfizer Director, Global Marketing & Commercial Development, IBRANCE & CDK Franchise in New York City, New York
IBRANCE (palbociclib) is the first in class CDK 4/6 inhibitor and helped to transform the treatment of HR-positive HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer (MBC) following its initial approval in the US in February 2015. Now, 3 years later, it has been approved in 80+ countries and continues to impact patients' lives, with over 120,000 patients prescribed worldwide.
The GMCD Director will join a team of 4 colleagues reporting to the IBRANCE Team Leader, Global Marketing & Commercial Development for Pfizer Oncology. She/he will provide commercial leadership on key activities and projects initiated by the IBRANCE Team in support of overall brand objectives and will operate across functions and regions in the Oncology organization and within Pfizer. Additionally, she/he will provide the commercial voice to several early development teams working in the breast cancer and non-breast cancer space. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, solid strategic and analytical thinking, someone who is a self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities, has attention to detail, can collaborate across the enterprise, and will learn from and improve upon existing processes and develop/implement new processes, where appropriate.
Drive global leadership for IBRANCE on key areas which may include:
Leading Real World Data (RWD) workstream - work closely with Outcomes & Evidence team and Regional Teams to identify real world data needs based on market insights and competitive landscape, assess opportunities to introduce data, develop messages, ensure clear and consistent interpretation and communication
Leading commercial activities associated with identified IBRANCE life cycle programs in metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and beyond Breast Cancer, including commercial strategy, forecasting and valuation, and preparation for relevant governance meetings and data readouts
Partnering with Medicines Team, global commercial functions, and regions to develop and deliver key aspects of the Annual Planning process including Long Range Forecasting, Operating Plan, and lifecycle planning
Driving advancement of global asset positioning and branded communication platform
Developing market and customer insights to shape critical success factors and global strategies, ensuring clarity on scenarios that could impact successful commercialization
Liaising with regional teams and other teams within GMCD Oncology to ensure alignment and collaboration on key strategic issues
Drive commercial leadership for early Breast Cancer assets reaching critical decision milestones which may include:
Identifying optimal development path from a commercial perspective for early assets, including consideration of portfolio priorities, market dynamics, and payer needs
Driving update of Target Product Profiles for various program opportunities and ensuring alignment across stakeholders
Partnering with WRD and PDA to support key decision making, including development of long range forecast around asset potential
Facilitating sharing of best practices/learnings across Breast Cancer and Pfizer Oncology portfolio to optimize planning and drive long-term commercial success
10-15 years of marketing experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech industry with demonstrated experience in new product planning
Business Acumen: Strong strategic and analytical skills with attention to detail, ability to synthesize and evaluate information, draw conclusions and make recommendations
Scientific Acumen : Ability to rapidly comprehend scientific and clinical data and understand their impact on strategic direction
Leadership : Demonstrated success in navigating and influencing cross functional matrix teams to set joint goals and share lessons learned
Self starter with exceptional learning agility to manage multiple priorities and work across multiple tumor types
Cross Functional Collaboration: Ability to engage and work collaboratively across functions and regions, inspires trust at all levels by building and maintaining strong relationships
Communication: strong written and oral communication skills with able to distill key messages and build compelling communication on complex issues
Demonstrated One Pfizer approach by operating above-brand or cross-function/BU on strategic issues
Global Oncology or Commercial Development experience required; additional regional/in-line marketing experience preferred
Understanding of clinical development pathway from Phase I -IV
Experience with Real World/HEOR data is a plus
Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree preferred
