The Finance function serves both internal and external customers: colleagues within our company, client organizations, shareholders, financial institutions, vendors and regulatory agencies around the world. This role resides in our FP&A practice within Finance.

The individual filling this role will be responsible for managing many aspects of Finance for the two Segments including segment leader financial support, financial performance management process (budgeting, forecasting, etc. in conjunction with Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations), ad hoc reporting and analysis, operating processes (in conjunction with GFS and global process leaders), controls compliance, policy implementation and interpretation and business transformation.

This role can be located in any Willis Towers Watson office, US preferred.

The Role

• Build and manage a high performing team that maintains a strong “client service” focus and culture. Develop and manage strong working relationships with various departments within Corporate Finance as well as with leaders in Segments/Geographies. Be a trusted advisor and partner to internal clients. Engage other departments to promote and model collaboration and sharing of best practices.

• Partner/coordinate with the Principal Accounting Officer regarding the Segment’s role in global accounting policy and procedure matters and with the Director, FP&A on global financial performance management.

• Work with the Segment/Business Leadership teams to proactively identify and help solve performance issues within markets and businesses.

• Key stakeholder for all Segment/Business contract to cash matters (billing, collections) with close coordination with head of Global Financial Services

• Ensure consistent implementation and application of corporate financial policies and accounting practices and procedures with active coordination with the Principal Accounting Officer.

• Work seamlessly as a team with Corporate FP&A in serving business financial needs in the most efficient and effective way for the company. Coordinate, facilitate and be proactive in representing the segment perspective with regards to key global financial performance management measures such as revenue and operating income growth.

• Assist with/manage business transformation activities and acquisition integration. Responsible for coordinating with Corporate Finance with change management and service delivery models.

• Business support for new business efforts including assisting with the RFP process, modelling, pricing/leverage models and compliance with contracting policy.

• Review of acquisitions and investments to ensure alignment with underlying enterprise financial goals

The Requirements

• 10+ years related experience in financial analysis or business operations analysis

• Financial and Business acumen as evidenced by having roles with progressively broader financial responsibilities

• Systems / data knowledge to be able to direct colleagues in the accumulation and synthesis of data into operational recommendations

• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data

• Ability to resolve exceptions and disputes as well as manage client expectations

• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Ability to lead team, drive change, develop skills of direct reports, and positively impact team morale

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a collaborative fashion

• Strong influencing skills

• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or deep related experience; CPA or MBA preferred
