Job Title: Sales Operations - SFDC Customer Data Quality Analyst

Location: Pune, India

Team : Global Sales Operations – Data Management. The team is responsible for delivering efficient and effective systems that enable the sales and marketing process and give access to relevant foundational data that influences revenue attainment, improves the user experience & reduces cost.

Role: The GSO SFDC Customer Data Quality Analyst is responsible for improving the quality and value of customer data in SFDC for sales – the detailed responsibilities are listed below. The analyst will work closely with Symantec’s Data & BI team and other parts of the global sales operations organization and will also serve as first point of contact for field sales reps who have SFDC customer data related requests.


  • SFDC Account Coverage Data management and maintenance

    • Maintain Account territories, Account ownership, Named account flag, Account Type

    • SFDC Quota uploads and maintenance

    • Managing and maintaining Named Accounts in SFDC.

    • Creating and maintaining assignment rules to trigger territory at the account level

  • SFDC Customer data – Creation & manipulation

    • Opportunity management –

    • Ownership transfer, territory assignment

    • Data updates

    • Data correction

    • Task creation and assignment as per the business assignment rules.

    • Deduplication of account/contact data.

    • Account/opportunity creation on request.

  • SFDC Account & Contact Data Quality management and maintenance

    • Work with (Peer Group) Data and Business Intelligence Data Librarians to complement macro company data quality updates and manage sales customer data accuracy in SFDC and align SFDC data with Symantec’s Customer Registry (CR)

    • Provide first line support for Sales Customer Data requests

  • Assist business units as needed with miscellaneous data and reporting needs

  • Utilize SQL Server and Sharepoint to assist in analysis and reporting

  • Ability to coordinate and cooperate with people in different time zones

  • Work with SFDC admin to support data migration.

  • Drive Fiscal year cutover initiatives and execute changes in SFDC.

  • Support data cleansing initiates and projects.

  • Create and manage SOPs.


  • Proficiency and previous experience with SFDC and SFDC Data Loader

  • Proficiency and previous experience with SQL, Access, and Excel

  • Excel proficiency, including macro skills and fuzzy logic

  • Understanding of Dun and Bradstreet data including hierarchies

  • Experience in managing, extracting and cleansing high volumes of transactional data

  • Results and detail oriented with the ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, cross functional experience and strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong mathematical/analytical background with the ability to understand complex data and resolve difficult problems
