Associate Senior Engineer - BizOps- Experience in Application Support (Java)


The Loyalty organization is a world wide team providing support of rewards, offers, insurance and benefits through a diverse suite of tools.

This Application Support Engineer will be tasked with application support and maintenance around systems impacting card holders and the services provided for them

This Application Support Engineer will work with a cross functional team of technical and business owners to deliver world class solutions to business problems.

Serve as primary Engineers in troubleshooting and resolving issues around vended and internally developed applications.

Respond to issues in a timely and efficient manner with the assistance of other team members and other Mastercard resources with the goal of minimizing the impact to our customers.

Assist in maturity efforts around application environments to create a more stable and effective solution to all consumers.

Work in conjunction with other application support members to create and facilitate a 24x7x365 resolution mechanism.

Assist in the continual improvement of documentation, processes, governance, customer onboarding, etc. around application environments.

Monitor and mature monitoring efforts for application suite to allow greater efficiencies and effectiveness in responding to and resolving system issues.

Assist in continual process improvement around application environments on a regularly scheduled basis with the goal of bringing the applications to even greater stability and effectiveness.

Experience around application support or technical operations required.

Ownership of issues to resolution. Sense of urgency

Strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills a must; experience in coming up with new solutions and thinking €œoutside of the box€

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills required.

Knowledge of BizOps processes and procedures.

Understand Database schema

2-4 years of hands-on experience using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)/Siebel Analytics. Having worked on importing large amounts of data from other systems into OBIEE. Should have good experience working on:

ETL tools (Informatica 9.x highly preferred)

Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c databases

BI Publisher

Install and to develop OBIEE repository layers

Reports and dashboards in OBIEE using Answers

Experience in Java and web services (SOAP/REST), Unix/Windows Server, Oracle DB.

BS Degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education.
