Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Role description & Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Asst. is responsible to ensure compliance to program requirements and company standards for all internal and external facing document and models. The associate will coordinate the approval and release of critical product items in a fast paced environment working to meet scheduled due dates.
Perform administration duties of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
Proof and edit documents and ensure proper approval workflow.
Reviews and releases engineering change data and coordinates changes to engineering documents with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Administration duties to ensure that customer requirements are implemented and ensures compliance with configuration management policies.
Research and verify technical content as needed.
Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e. drawings, specifications, parts lists change notices, manufacturing plans, test or laboratory procedures).
Knowledge or demonstrated experience using Product Lifecycle Management Software (Epic, TCUA, etc), or Manufacturing Execution System (Solumina), Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Costpoint, Sap, etc).
Skills & Qualifications:
Solid skill level in Microsoft Office products.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
Ability to work on a team or independently as needed.
- Requires High School Diploma/GED & 2 years or equivalent combination of education & experience.BS degree preferred; technical field or major with Technical Writing emphasis preferred
