CHC Helicopter has an opportunity for aManager Crew Training – CHC Helikopter Service (CHC HS). The Manager Crew Training (MCT) is accountable for the provision of the HS Flight Training program to support safe and compliant operations. The MCT must be acceptable to the NCAA as the Nominated Person Crew Training.

The MCT HS reports directly to Head of Flight Training CHC and dotted line to the MFO HS, they have direct leadership of TRI and TRE’s in their operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination and quality of training for all pilots on all types in the HS operation to meet regulatory, CHC and customer requirements.

  • Responsible for the cost effective planning of all training in HS.

  • Responsible for adopting CHC harmonised operations and training policies into HS.

  • Responsible for the recording of pilot training and qualifications in compliance with OMD requirements.

  • Ensure content of the OM Part D meets the requirements of the Authority, company and customers.

  • Maintaining active and positive relationship with regulatory agencies ensuring acceptable standards and business continuity.

  • Maintain in depth knowledge of relevant regulations and customer requirement.

  • Maintain TRI/E competency and qualifications.

  • Fly operational services up to 45 day per year, subject to workload.

  • In conjunction with the Manager Flight Operations, responsible for the efficient planning of training requirements, whilst ensuring both training and operational requirements are executed efficiently.

  • Responsibilities as outlined in the Operating Manual A

  • Employees must comply with and adhere to all company policies

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • International travel may be required.

Qualifications & Experience:

EDUCATION:

  • Capable of holding EASA 965/2012 Nominated Person Crew Training

  • Bachelor degree required or equivalent experience

  • Min 5 years management experience (preferred)

  • Must be IOGP compliant for Captain

  • Knowledgably of local aviation legislation and standards

  • Experience developing and delivering training programs

  • Must have ability to travel internationally at times with short notice

EXPERIENCE:

  • Current ATPL (h) with IR

  • Current type rating on a CHC HS aircraft type

  • Current TRE or TRI on CHC HS type

  • Experience in setting up training systems/methodologies and procedures

  • Experience with project-orientated working methods

  • Self-motivated and results orientated with a focus on quality training

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communications and presentation skills

  • Excellent collaborative problem solving skills with an ability to envision a system wide solution

  • Ability to work in rapidly evolving and dynamic team environment

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Ability to conduct research in course development and delivery concepts

  • Excellent motivational skills and a positive attitude

  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve and maintain pre-determined service levels

  • Valid passport and ability to travel without restrictions
