  • Supervises, coaches, and leads Key Accounts Associates.

  • Evaluates Key Account Associates’ performance, identifies training needs, monitors training effectiveness and assigns appropriate follow-up.

  • Coordinates, organizes and prioritizes multiple Competitive Advantage initiatives simultaneously to ensure on-time completion within budget.

  • Ensures Key Accounts Associates provide excellent customer service by responding to customers’ needs consistent with MSC standards, Culture, and business practices.

  • Continually adapts and evolves Key Account processes, including implementation of Competitive Advantage customer item plans, integration of non-franchise vendors, and building a solid infrastructure to achieve defined goals.

  • Collaborates with and assists Key Account Reps, Sales Reps and Competitive Advantage team to identify new business opportunities

  • Identifies and implements continuous cost reduction and process improvement activities.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.

  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.


  • An Associate’s Degree or the equivalent experience is required.

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience preferred.


  • Good communication skills required

  • Supervisory skills and the ability to manage associates required

  • Good business analytical and assessment skills required

  • Knowledge of PC and word processing and spreadsheet software required

  • Knowledge of project management software preferred

  • Ability to track and manage multiple concurrent projects required

  • Ability to analyze data and prepare departmental reporting required

  • Sales process knowledge required.

  • Ability to foster a “Best Practices” environment required

  • Strong problem solving skills required


  • Travel up to 10% is required
