Global Reconciliation Utility is a combined reconciliations function responsible for defining and executing Reconciliation services for the Citi Global Capital Markets.

GRU Production Support team is tasked with the responsibly of ensuring both the stability and data quality of our Reconciliations platforms across various lines of business within Citi Global Capital Markets.

Are you a highly motivated individual looking for a new challenge? We have an opportunity for an Application Support Senior Analyst within our GRU Production Support team located in Tampa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Production Support for critical reconciliation platforms, working to understand the impact of issues/outages, providing effective communication to business and technology stakeholders and managing subsequent follow-ups to correct errors in our data, improve stability and prevent reoccurrence.

In this role, you will liaise closely with your colleagues in India, Singapore to ensure 24 x 5 coverage of the application. As a member of the North America Support team – you will be required to provide on-site cover between the hours 07:00 and 19:00 EST to cover business start-up and close, and any additional demands of the business. You will be expected to cover occasional requirements to provide weekend coverage on a rotational basis to support releases cycles, and participate in disaster recovery testing.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Role requires becoming fully technically familiar with the entire GRU platform (currently 4 applications) in order to provide a world-class support service alongside the L2 support team.

  • Own and manage the Incident response process. Must be able to escalate problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements

  • Effectively communicate issues and status updates with business users, second level support, and development teams

  • Focus on continuous improvements on existing Application monitoring as well as the underlying infrastructure

  • Collaboration with Development partners to prioritize production fixes and support tooling requirements

  • Work closely with the GRU business teams and the GRU development teams, as well as CTI and upstream/downstream support teams to ensure a quality service.

  • Perform change, incident and problem management for the GRU platform.

  • In line with ICG PS goals, active involvement in ownership of support project items covering continual Stability, Efficiency and Effectiveness initiatives.

  • Adaptability to work with different region’s including vendor and Citi staff. Reporting to GRU Global Support Manager.

  • Ensuring stability and availability of the GRU platform for the GRU business and its clients.

  • Proactive improvement work (in terms of stability/effectiveness/efficiency) across the platform. Analyze the issues being raised against our applications and design, then implement or manage enhancements to prevent any future occurrences of these problems or issues.

  • Scrutinizing change coming into the platform, ensuring quality of releases is adequate.

  • Ensuring all hygiene factors (admin, governance etc.) is completed without requiring chasing.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Essential Skills

  • Working knowledge of Oracle SQL. (Able to build ad hoc SQL queries)

  • Working knowledge of UNIX (Solaris/Linux). (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)

  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail

  • IT (spreadsheet/analytical/modeling skills)

  • Positive attitude and keen to learn.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work under stress and time constraints.

  • Monitoring technologies preferably ITRS (GENEOS)

Additional Skills (Desirable)

  • Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products.

  • Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS a plus)

  • Job scheduling tool such as Autosys.

  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools such as JIRA

  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.

  • Good all-round PC skills. (I.e. Windows OS / Networks / General Hardware)

Other:

  • Shell Scripting, PERL, Batch scripting.

  • SmartStream TLM, Reconciliation systems experience
