This position provides regional quality coverage for 2 Mulitspecialty Centers and 1 GI only Center
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
The Regional Quality Coordinator is responsible for quality improvement planning and execution, infection control planning, execution and compliance and risk management at the facility level. This role is responsible for these duties at 3 facilities within the Heartland Region.
Areas of responsibility include quality improvement, infection control and risk management.
Develops and provides oversight for the center Performance Improvement Plan and programs
Ensures survey readiness
Leads, facilitates, and advises the Quality Council and internal PI teams
Prepare agenda and complete minutes for center quality council meetings
Oversee the center Infection Control Plan and programs
Ensures infection control regulatory and accreditation survey readiness
Leads, facilitates, and advises the Quality Council and PI project teams on infection control activities
Plans, develops, coordinates and conducts teammate training and education related to IC
Maintains IC Policies and Procedures and required reporting documents
Oversee the center EOC/Safety Plan/Risk Management and programs
Leads, facilitates, and advises the Quality Council and PI project teams on the EOC/Safety/Risk Management programs
Plans, develops, coordinates and conducts teammate training and education related to EOC/Safety/Risk Management programs
Maintains center EOC/Safety/Risk Manual and related resources
Successfully completed the program at an accredited school of nursing with a current state nursing license
Experience in ambulatory surgery nursing, at least two (2) to five (5) years of nursing and management experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center is desired
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS)/Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification
Successful completion of ACLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
