The Hatch Finance team is committed to partnering with our Managers to provide timely and accurate accounts and project support to our Australia-Asia business.

We currently have an opportunity for an experiencedAccounts Receivable and Billing Officerto join the Finance team based inBrisbane.

Key Billing and Credit Control Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively assist in project rates set up, ensuring accurate and efficient process

  • Releasing of Project and creation of Contracts in line with assigned Business Lines

  • Improve receivables by following up unbilled balances promptly with Project Managers

  • Provide relevant reconciliations of project reports and other relevant details to our internal and external clients when necessary or when requested

  • Provide support to Project Managers by processing and distributing Client invoices and adjustment notes efficiently

  • Accurate and timely completion of relevant reconciliations and journal entries

  • Establish and manage working relationships with clients, team members and managers to ensure delivery of high quality of service

  • Management and control over assigned ledger

  • Improve receivables collections by following up unpaid receivables promptly with Project Managers and/or Clients

  • Conduct credit checks and references on new clients prior to account set up

  • Timely and accurate banking and posting of customer payments

  • Close supervision of billed receivables and prompt payment collections

  • Recommend and communicate improvements in service with other team members

    Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and operate effectively as part of a wider team.

  • Demonstrated experience within a Finance team. Billing experience preferred

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to relate to others

  • Sound oral and written communication skills to achieve and maintain successful work outcomes and positive working relationships

  • Ability to identify and analyze data and issues, develop options and provide advice

  • Intermediate level of Excel and spreadsheet applications
