WW Partner Communications and Social Media Manager

Job Description:

Citrix is in search of a strong communications manager who can develop, manage and implement external communications strategies, positioning, messaging and digital content with a heavy emphasis on organic and sponsored social media campaigns. You’ll work closely with your manager and the broader worldwide team as well as cross-functionally across the organization. You’ll be responsible for reaching global and targeted audiences to build and support the Citrix Partner Network brand and channel strategy. This position reports to the Senior Manager, WW Partner Communications and is based in Santa Clara, CA or Fort Lauderdale, FL.



  • Develop and execute external communications strategies and plans that support the WW Partner strategy and reinforce the value of the Citrix Partner Network brand

  • Write, edit, disseminate and coordinate messaging and content that can be delivered across a variety of external channels, including email, blogs and partner portal

  • Own the WW Partner News process

  • Become an expert in email systems, own the process, work with geo and corporate teams to streamline & improve where possible

  • Drive event marcom (i.e. audience acquisition comms, etc.) for Citrix Summit; provide event marcom support for Citrix Synergy

  • Collaborate with other channel teams to develop, and execute against, content strategies to promote messaging that supports individual projects while tying in to larger themes

Social Media

  • Map out and drive social strategy to increase partner recruitment and engagement efforts, proving results through testing and metrics

  • Manage and build the partner community

  • Create and communicate regular cadence of internal partner-related social media advocacy content

  • Advocate and make recommendations around social marketing programs, messaging, and campaigns

  • Maintain online reputation management; monitor for and identify opportunities/threats in third-party media or user-generated content surrounding the business and executives

  • Continue to grow a broad, global social and digital media presence for to-partner communications

  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support partner advocacy programs

  • Own various award applications

  • Regularly attend team meetings throughout the business to listen and collect information to develop relevant and timely communications

  • Manage metrics and develop regular cadence of reports

  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Marketing, Brand, Social Media and Internal Comms teams to assure alignment and create synergies across all media platforms

  • Manage vendor relationships as needed

Qualifications (including Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Related Work Experience)

  • Solid communications and/or content marketing experience, with excellence in strategic communications and execution abilities

  • A ‘can do’ attitude and ability to inspire teams, colleagues, and executives

  • Experience with social media publishing & community management platforms including Buffer, Hootsuite or similar; email marketing platforms; WordPress or similar; Content Management Systems (CMS); reporting platforms like SimplyMeasured; social media content advocacy platforms like EveryoneSocial

  • Strong analytical skills; extraordinary written and verbal communication

  • Ability to quickly pattern spot and surface actionable insights; separate signal from noise.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure, managing dotted line resources and several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Ability to facilitate and harness cross-team collaboration working with teams in-person and virtually

  • Clear and genuine communicator with excellent relationship building skills who inspires trust and credibility with all levels of individuals, inside and outside the company

  • Creative thinker with unique ideas on different way to communicate to and reach partners

  • Enthusiastic, personable, flexible, positive outlook and attitude

  • Ability to understand and cater for multiple audiences including to-partner, through-partner, internal and others

  • Experience in/understanding of networking, virtualization, mobility, and cloud technology markets and offerings and industry standard channel programs a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a solid track record in corporate communications or cross-functional marketing role.

  • Ability to build a deep understanding of the company’s and organization’s objectives in order to tie communications work directly to desired business outcomes

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related.

  • Candidates should have 3-5 years of integrated marketing and/or digital communications experience in an agency or corporate setting, including 1-2 years of hands-on social media program execution.
